Kasidie

Kasidie straddles the line between social network and dating site in a way that mostly works. The activity feed keeps us coming back daily even when we're not actively looking. The photo albums and trip reports from other couples are genuinely entertaining. As an actual dating tool, it's middling — the messaging could be better and we wish there was video chat built in. Solid 3.5 stars, rounding up because the community is genuinely warm.

We love the concept of Kasidie and the hot-date feature is genuinely clever — you set your availability and it matches you with interested couples. The problem is geography. In Colorado and Nevada, Kasidie is packed with active profiles. When we moved to the Southeast, it was a ghost town. We reached out to 15 couples in our new city and got 2 responses. The platform is great if you're in its sweet spot, frustrating if you're not.

Kasidie's event system is its killer feature. We found 3 house parties in our area within the first week. The social feed feels like Facebook for swingers — you can post updates, share photos, and comment on other couples' content. Smaller user base than SLS but a much more engaged community. If you're in the western US, Kasidie is probably your best bet for finding local events and active couples.
